Oak Tree Wallpaper Biography
Oak Tree Suite is an indie-rock four-piece from Perth Western Australia. The band, which was formed in 2009 has gone from strength to strength, releasing their debut EP Enid’s Place in May 2011. Their unique and fresh piano based sound, combined with distinctive guitar riffs and energy has seen the band grow in popularity at a rate that even the boys are finding hard to believe.
Jakarta born Steven Lukman, Oak Tree Suite’s lead guitarist joined Matt Garrod, and Joshua Lindley in early 2009 when they were asked to play a small set in a festival. Shane Tyler, Oak Tree Suite’s bassist was not in the picture yet, and so Wayne Garrod, Matt’s father played. Steven’s love for blues is extremely evident in his distinctive guitar licks; it adds unique character to Oak Tree Suite’s sound.
There became a realization that Oak Tree Suite may have been on to something by early 2010 when the band was continuously asked for recordings of the songs that could, at this stage only be heard live. The addition of bassist Shane Tyler in February 2010 quickly proved important in developing a consistent sound. Shane’s strong and solid bass riffs created the perfect mix for Oak Tree Suite.
